SOM: Engineering x [Art + Architecture] at the 2017 Chicago Architecture Biennial

Engineering X [Art+ Architecture], an exhibition of Skidmore Owings & Merrill’s work, displayed innovative structures that demonstrated the collaborative process of the firm’s engineers and architects. SOM designers William F. Baker and Mohamed Sheriff discuss the subtle complexity characterizing SOM’s landmark buildings around the world as well as the firm’s history of partnering with acclaimed artists.
