The soil microbial communities play an important role in keeping soils healthy and functional. The focus of this study compares the effect three different land management practices have on soil microbial communities. Baseline soil samples collected in the spring and fall of 2016 underwent Phospholipid Fatty Acid analysis. Baseline trends were established with the first year collection. Over the next three years, we expect changes to the soil microbial communities between the management practices.
