12 Mile Stone is a documentary film that considers the current trend of rock music emerging from Bellville, an unassuming, middle class, South African suburb.
The African Attachment followed aKING and newcomers Ashtray Electric to one of South Africa’s biggest music festivals, Aardklop, where they met up with Van Coke Kartel, Fokofpolisiekar, and 10000 fans.
Featuring music from aKING, Springbok Nude Girls, New Holland, 7th Breed, New World Inside, Van Coke Kartel, Thieve, Ashtray Electric and Fokopolisiekar.
12 Mile Stone is a story about the Bellville music scene, a view from the inside, established rock artists, emerging bands, and friends alike.
The film is set to be released as a part of the Bellville Rock City project.
