ROS-Industrial matured into a worldwide initiative involving more than 50 organizations across its three regional consortia, including OEMs and primary actors in the manufacturing landscape. This strong private backing is complemented by the support of generous public funding. The talk will illustrate the current lines of action leveraging such funding and aiming to supplement the communitybased spirit of ROS with the traits of a “digital industrial platform for robotics”. They include: the establishment of a development team for the Asia Pacific region; training events with a curriculum specifically developed for automation professionals; broader involvement of system integrators; ad-hoc technical developments with mixed funding schemes.
