Description: Is there always a mad scramble to close a transaction or complete a project due to missing documents at your firm? Depending on how they were sent to the firm, digital documents can be stored on a local computer, a network drive, a cloud based file storage solution, even in Microsoft Outlook email folders. But you can’t tell from browsing through the folders what’s missing, who owes you documents and even who provided each document. For tracking you probably use a separate spreadsheet, but that doesn’t always line up. We will show you how to use an online document collection tool, CollectDocs, to not only collect digital documents but to track and automate the entire process. Lawyers can invite staff, client, consultants and other outside parties to help get the work completed and request documents directly from the source. A checklist format lets you quickly see what you have and what you are missing and friendly reminders keep the project moving towards a timely close of the matter.
