Who are, this day and age, the new pilgrims? Are they the tourists?
What are the insights and what the discoveries that could be made along the way?
Enlightenment? Hope? Silence?
The Department of Communication Sciences of the University of Siena, in collaboration with the Department of Industrial Design of the Technische Universiteit Eindhoven, the Municipality of Siena and the Museum Santa Maria della Scala held "Light Through Culture", an international school of design. The school took place in a unique location, the basement labyrinths of the Museum developing along the ancient Via Francigena.
In this fascinating exploration through design draw, LtC used the wealth of cultural heritage to bring it to light and translate it in an opportunity for learnig. The light and its use in technology's field have been the meeting place of tradition, history and culture with the aim to offer to the visitor an extraordinary experience.
