I had hopes of producing a slick video documenting our family's first Shuttle launch, but the image quality wasn't nearly what I was expecting. Oh well. You win some, you lose some.

Two cameras used: Canon HG10 for the wide-angle view, Canon 7D for the tight shot (250mm).

(Fact: The launch was actually silent for us. The video you see here was from our viewpoint more than 4 miles away, and the sound from the boosters took nearly 30 seconds to reach us.)
