You can control din remotely from an IRC channel by streaming din commands to the din IRC bot.
Of course this bot is not evil (you can verify this by reading din's source code as din is Free software) -> it was designed for collaborative music making, remote support, telemetry etc.
Once your bot joins an IRC channel, other users of the channel send commands they want to run on your din as chat messages to your bot. The bot collects these messages and runs them on your din console as commands thus affecting the operation of your din.
In this video, user jag changes the key of the bot's din and BPM of its gaters by messaging it suitable commands.
Later in the video, the bot streams MIDI data from a Korg Nanokontrol to the IRC channel for jag to verify that the MIDI system is indeed working fine on the bot's machine. A future video will show routing of MIDI data from one din via its bot to control sound parameters of another din via its bot.
din is a Free software musical instrument for GNU/Linux.
