Photography for Heavenly Lights II has been an intense year-long time-lapse project. The adventure has taken us on 6 different trips spanning 6,500 miles through Michigan, Ontario, and Manitoba. The clear and colorful nights made the journey worth every mile. About 4,240 pictures were taken which make up about 24 continuous hours’ worth of high resolution photography. I am still perfecting my time-lapse skills, but I think this edition is an improvement over last year’s project.
The aurora is one of the most bizarre, mysterious, and incredible things to witness in nature. Once you see a good show, you will be hooked, and ready for more. Hopefully this short movie gives you a glimpse of the raw beauty that nature can unleash in an instant. The dancing colorful lights are a sign of God’s presence to me, and his artwork appears to be spilling out of the heavens onto earth. So the name “Heavenly Lights” just seems to fit, and this is the second edition in this series of videos. Hopefully there will be more down the road.
Music was put together by Dexter Britain and the song is named “The Time To Run”. No changes were made to the song. When I was searching for the right music, this song had the perfect mood and matched the moving pictures well. You can listen to this song and other work from the artist at this link below.
Enjoy and thanks for watching!
