Katy “Butters” Craley: Surely you recognize the name from the good, long look you got at the back of her jersey while she skied you. Let’s face it, if you've matched up against Butters, then you've been skied by Butters. As one of Oregon’s best, she is among the top women’s college players in the country, but you’ll never hear her say that. Butters is confident, but never cocky. As a player, she is reliable, poised, and in possession of arguably the best hands in women’s ultimate. She is consistent, and despite having huge throws, shows remarkable self-restraint. These qualities, though often overlooked and underestimated, are invaluable, particularly to a title-contending team such as Fugue. She is both an offensive and defensive force who makes critical plays when it counts, but even with her competitiveness, she is level-headed and courteous to opposing teams. As a teammate, she is reliable, positive and hard-working. Her attitude is comforting and her work ethic inspiring to other Fuguers and to her opponents. Butters embodies the spirit of the game in her unmatched abilities, her unwavering modesty, and her untiring enthusiasm for the game of ultimate.
