VOS is an installation consisting of a large projection of an image that is filtered by custom software. The full image is subdivided into 10 x 8 squares by the software in various ways over time. These and smaller sections of the image are sampled to produce sounds that are distributed to 4 channels and played on speakers positioned in each of the 4 corners of the room. The software cycles through 8 phases, each with its own filter variations.
“Voice of Sisyphus” is a multimedia installation by George Legrady (georgelegrady.com) with image analysis, sound synthesis and spatialization software development by Ryan McGee (ryanmcgee. com) and audio-visual composition software development by Joshua Dickinson.
