Process and Video by Crista, SOUND by the great Jason Michel.
This is in process footage from artist Crista Cammaroto as she installs her temporal "Terra Forms" or earthworks pulling form out of the existing environment, inspired by events of the day and the ecosystem surrounding her choice for a “drop”. The drop involves placing a ring somewhere outside to create a formal circumference – usually 8 feet in diameter, a terra form, a spherical boundary, a cell, a referent to the earth that sustains us despite our interference.
The combination of ground work with an aerial perspective is intentional and hopefully inspires people to get outside and celebrate the earth beneath their own feet.
