Everesting has become somewhat of a 'thing' over the past year, when a rider sets out with the aim of ascending the height of Everest (8,848 metres) in a single day. In the spirit of a #BackYourself challenge, founder of Le Col and ex-GB cyclist Yanto Barker decided that he'd take things up a notch and try his hand at 'trenching' - which involves trying to ascend 10,994 metres - the depth of Marianna Trench - in one day.
All started well at Kidds Hill in Sussex. Yanto had packed sandwiches for starters. But had he bitten off more than he could chew? We'll let you find out...
