Nomura Jellyfish start life as a microscopic blob in the polluted waters of the Yangtze estuary in China before being carried by ocean currents into Japanese waters. During the journey they gorge on plankton and arrive having grown to six feet across.

We filmed around the coast of Japan over two weeks with fishermen and scientists.
