Did you know that 95% of all ammonia emissions within the EU are produced as a result of agriculture?
With the world population continuing to increase, agriculture plays a more important role than ever before. However, the ammonia emissions produced from manure and chemical fertilisers are having a severe impact upon air quality and, as a result, our health.
But the European Union is taking action. Thanks to the implementation of simple and inexpensive measures, as well as the creation of ambitious reduction targets, ammonia emissions produced as a result of agriculture are decreasing.
The EU is taking preventative steps, ensuring safe, sustainable farming and securing fresh, clean air for all European citizens.
