Monica J. Caffaratti is a Reno native with over 10 years’ experience in both state and federal court. Monica earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism from the Ohio State University and a Juris Doctorate from Capital University Law School in Columbus, Ohio, but Nevada has always been her home. Monica cares about Northern Nevadans and that is why she returned to Reno in 2005 after graduating from law school where she began her career with the Washoe County Public Defender's Office in the Family Court Division. After serving as a Deputy Public Defender for several years, Monica relocated to California. Monica continued to practice family law in California and began practicing insurance defense. She served as a Nevada staff attorney for both small and large law firms in the San Francisco Bay and Los Angeles areas. In 2011, Monica returned to Reno, where she continued to practice family law and insurance defense. Monica currently focuses her practice on family law as that is what she loves to do. Monica has expanded her practice to include estate planning and business law, not only to enhance her practice, but to meet the growing needs of her clients.
