Robot Artist / Interactive Installation with AI

Robot-artist is Rosbank's interactive urban art project, which premiered in Moscow on 18th of June in 2017.  Hello Computer's team has faced a challenging task of showing the innovative character of the brand while engaging the audience into the conversation. We started with a common insight that banks are intelligent, yet soulless financial machines. Since Rosbank supports the Impressionists' collection in the Pushkin's Museum, we chose art as our starting ground and decided to prove that even machines can perceive and inspire.  We taught the industrial robot to draw like a real impressionist and scan the colors from the citizens’ clothes. Thousands of Muscovites gladly helped the robot to add bright colors to its paintings and became his co-authors. Later on, businessmen from all over the world lined up for the robot-artist's stand at the industrial exhibition "Innoprom" in Yekaterinburg. All these people have indicated their e-mail addresses to find the pictures on the website and share them on the social networks.  We came up with a new kind of art, where robots and people create works of art together. Thus, an effective way to break the estrangement barrier was found, showing Rosbank's innovative approach and proving that a bank can be inspiring.  The results of the project are as follows: 2 weeks in Sokolniki park, 2 pictures, 55 930 brush strokes 2 000 000 visitors  4508 participants, who contributed their pictures and left their e-mails. Most visitors made videos and took picture of the branded space   We also had thousands of visitors and over 1000 participants from 20 different countries at the international trade fair "Innoprom".  Media coverage:  The First Channel (2 airplays, TV program “Good morning”), Russia 1 (“News”, 20:00), air plays on channels Russia 24, OTR, RBK TV Over 100 publications in municipal, business and foreign mass media resources.  The total reach is estimated at around 10 million people.   The interactive art project "Robot-Artist" brought together innovations, art and the city itself. There were three countries that took part in its development: Rosbank (financial group Societe Generale, France), FANUC (industrial robots, Japan) and Hello Computer (innovation company, Russia).
