In 2007 Lucie Herraiz Cunningham started to help international women connect and support each other during the demanding years of mothering babies and young children in the city of Delft, the Netherlands.
A strong international community grew out of Lucie’s first groups over these years, and they still stand strong - now with well over 1200 members (and still growing).
In order to mark the 10-year anniversary and give back to the wonderful city of Delft, which has welcomed the internationals and became a second home for the whole lot of them, Delft MaMa created a mural. A new mosaic for a graffiti tagged wall near a playground - that will further connections and contribute to a feeling of security for Delftians.
The mosaic project is a wonderful tribute to Delft itself and the bridges these mothers are building between cultures and generations.
