"CFE Arena Wall Mural Project • UCF / University Of Central Florida"

This progression video showcases the stages in creating this hand painted mural project. The winning design was an online competition for the University of Central Florida's mural project of October 2017. The awarded commission was to turn the digital design into a 16' x 16' mural. Hand painted onto the University of Central Florida's east wall of the CFE Arena. The theme challenge was to present the UCF's school mascot (an armored knight) breaking through a stone wall. This mural concept utilized pigments for producing traditionally hand painted billboards- bulletin enamel paints onto a Di bond substrate. The completed mural was then applied with a thick transparent UV protective layer of Sherman-Williams Anti-Grafitti clear coating, protecting it from any harsh exterior elements. © KTA 2017
