This was made for an installation in which the video is projected onto a 9' x 15' sheet of painter's plastic blown by a fan. The video comprises manipulated footage of a sing-along to a famous children's movie, with some lyrics left unpixellated and with interpolated excerpts from Hamlet. The audio is two tracks of me playing my bathroom sink plumbing, recorded on a defective recorder. For documentation of the installation, see vimeo.com/304542570.
This piece continues my explorations/spoofings relating to dimensionality and systems, focussing on border- and identity-related equilibria, and with an eye toward what popular culture is telling us about them.
