In celebration of its 15th Anniversary, the Festival of Faiths is proud to present "Sacred Soil: Foundations of Life." This is the second in a series of the fundamental elements. Last year's theme was "Sacred Water" and subsequent years will be "Sacred Air" and "Sacred Fire".
Tonight's panel discussion, A Kentucky Conversation, was sponsored by the Festival of Faiths and co-hosted by Kentuckian's for the Commonwealth. An assembly of local, national and international leaders discuss the what they are doing to foster better care of and a closer connection with the soil.
Guests include Kentucky author Wendell Berry, Soil Association International's Patrick Holden, ARC's Martin Palmer, urban farming activist Will Allen, Slow Food USA President Josh Viertel, advocate musicians Jim James and Daniel Martin Moore, and garden writer Jeneen Wiche.
