This piece is a three-part character focused alternative narrative; based on my Grandmother, my Mother, and myself. I am exploring the intangible connections in families that exist past heirlooms and traditions.
Lily Coca is self-indulgent, stubborn, and shut off from reality. The world she exists in starts at her sofa and ends at her television screen.
Sissy, with her friend Guy in tow, head to visit PRADA, MARFA. An inactive Prada store in the middle of the desert, PRADA, MARFA, features the 2005 Prada accessories line mummified in an adobe box.
Both of the previous characters are merely fables in the mind of the third character, Alice. Alice sees herself slipping into the pasts of both Lily and Sissy. Through the constant action of changing clothes and switching lipsticks, Alice finds herself stuck in between two possible futures without seeing an option for a third.
