This is a reworking of a clip I made last year. It's sunrise over the Toronto skyline. Still HDR but using a different program to create the tonemapped images.
In this case, I used a beta version of Artizen, fhotoroom.com/ to do the batch merging/tonemapping. This program has had a LOT of new development in the last year and it's resulted in some tremendous improvements in performance (speed) and quality of merging/tonemapping.
I think I've managed to get the main developer of Artizen to agree to sit down for an interview about the program after the current version moves from beta into full production. Watch for it on my blog sometime over the summer.
