After we have filled our jerrycans with fresh source water at Vasey's Paradise, we continue to raft and stop at Red wall cave. Here the river flows smoothly, the eddy just before the cave is huge, and so is the cave. John wesley powell, the first white explorer to see this place said it could fit 50.000 people, uhm maybe not, or maybe if they hugged?. This place just takes your breath away.
The Colorado River carved this large cave from the Redwall limestone formation at river level.
