Robert Price, Ed. D. is the Director of Curriculum & Instruction. Robert received his undergraduate degree in Geology and Studio Art from Rutgers College. Dr. Price has also earned a MA in Fine Arts from Montclair State College, a M. Ed. in Science Education from Rutgers Graduate School of Education and his Doctorate in Curriculum and Teaching from Teachers College, Columbia University. Before entering the field of staff development he was a science teacher, at the high school and middle school levels, a computer teacher, Gifted and Talented teacher, and Technology Coordinator for a K-8 school district. Dr. Price is a member of the board of the New Jersey affiliate of Learning Forward and was a Panelist for National Assessment of Educational Progress, (NAEP), and a 2003 Governor’s Teacher Recognition Honoree. He has presented at various national state and local conferences and has recently served as an adjunct professor of education at Montclair State University. Most recently Dr. Price has participated as a member of New Jersey’s PARCC transition Committee and is presently a member of the New Jersey Educator Leader Cadre supporting professional learning for the successful implementation of the Common Core Standards. As the director of the Northern Valley Curriculum Center Dr. Price along with his staff has also developed new learning experiences to support the implementation of the Marshall Rubric as the core evaluation tool for the Northern Valley Schools.
