Double Jump is another slug-film video made with recovered images of a 35mm lab test print cut in half to make 16mm slug-film.
Images are from an unknown Australian skydiving film.
The piece is recut as a video game/music video inspired by the gaming term "double jump": the possibility to jump over and over again in mid-air. The so-called game is played by trying to avoid the jumping frame-line, an effect created by using 35mm images cut in half as 16mm. In this video, extra effects are created by playing with different speeds.
The soundtrack is a creative remix of Pop Corn (1972), a song I was crazy about as a child.
