A dramatized news report created by students attempting to understand why people search refuge and how exactly an escape works featuring an interview with Hamid Rizazade, an Afghan Refugee.
In order to prepare for the interview with refugees, the participants talked about Charles Rojzman’s model of corresponding fears and needs. They learned that behind every fear there is a human need, and that most Human rights correspond to one of these basic needs. While fear paralyzes us, recognizing the needs behind it enables us to deal with it constructively and that way to solve the conflict.
Material comes from a workshop entitled Country-specific opinions about the War in Iraq and Afghanistan. A German-Polish-Turkish-Ukrainian youth project.
