The side event ‘Early lessons from GEF Integrated Approach Pilots (IAPs): Increasing Impact in GEF-7’ was presented by the Global Environment Facility (GEF) on 13 November 2017 during COP23 in Bonn, Germany. The event introduced IAPs, a new program that addressed key drivers of environmental degradation and focuses on key lessons to integrate all environmental spheres related to the GEF. Discussions showcased the progress for the IAPs and how early lessons learned from GEF-6 could be used to enhance programs in GEF-7, the next replenishment period of the GEF from 1 July 2018 through 30 June 2022.
