Four different artworks were created by Andrea Bukovics onto the facade of the Cathedral of Pécs for the Heritage Festival 2010. The city was the Cultural Capital of Europe in 2010 and the festival's main theme is the cultural heritage of the city so therefore our artworks were all connected to that.
One of the motives reflects to Victor Vasarely - who was born in Pécs - by "repainting" the facade in his style. Another one turns the cathedral inside out by virtually opening the building and showing the Cathedral's inner paintings and columns on the facade. Traditional Hungarian folk motives and the city's famous porcelain manufacture, Zsolnay's motives are as well changed the facade for three nights during the festival. Each motives were on for 15 minutes and change from one to another by animations created by Viktor Vicsek.
The projection mapping was sponsored by T-Home.
