Braxton, a five year old "Courageous Warrior" battling cancer (DIPG) asked his father to take him hunting. Hunting For The Cure hosted Braxton and his family at the plantation to deer hunt November 19, 2017. The following morning, with thirty degree temperatures, Braxton along with his brothers, Carson, Austin and Riley went to the woods to hunt. Although the morning hunt didn't yield the results everyone was hoping, Riley the oldest was able to harvest a doe. Braxton, our courageous warrior was the last to return from the blind as yearned to wait it out to harvest his first deer. After lunch, everyone returned to the woods for an evening hunt. After about an hour and a half a buck stepped into the food plot where Braxton was sitting. It was that very moment that Braxton delivered the fatal blow harvesting his first deer, a buck. The buck ran about twenty yards into the woods just off the food plot taking a dirt nap. Sharing Smiles and Creating Memories ..... It just doesn't get any better!
