Cambodia is not a kingdom of ruins. It’s a kingdom of people. Longtail boats buzz by on Tonlé Sap in between stilt houses craning above the water. Monks wander in the forests and forgotten temples around Phnom Kulen – the Mountain of Lychee. Young women pulled from the stone bas-reliefs of Angkor Wat dance to the beating heart of Cambodia. The living wonders of the Kingdom of Cambodia are best seen in earnest and in peace.
