Boom was my second year project at the North Carolina School of the Arts. A good friend and I had built a 7ft tall multi-plane rig for an animation I had made earlier in the year, and I wanted to try blending that technique with pixilation. The original concept was to present a dream-like "Field Day" scenario where everything within 3ft of the spectator entered the second dimension.
Filmed with a Panasonic DVX100A.
All in-camera layering techniques.
