The brief was to create some sort of a calendar that would be in the future. I decided to make a video of 12 vignettes that each represent a month, starting with January "1". Each vignette is about 5-7 seconds long and are represented by color and music inspired by that particular month and season. For example Summer, July "7" is hot in New York, so I used a bright red/orange hue with feverish music to represent that. I incorporated rain and thunderstorms into the music as a way to depict the changing of the seasons. We shot at the Salt Shed NYC because the pure, clean cement backdrop felt very futuristic and minimal, a perfect backdrop to create these layered films.
These videos are meant to be used as pop-up videos before, for example, a longer fashion video/dialogue that would be in a futurist calendar about fashion trends and cycles.
