This game was created in the context of the Coding Da Vinci hackathon 2017, using an image data base from Bertuchs "Bilderbuch für Kinder", Bibliothek für Bildungsgeschichtliche Forschung and sounds from the Tierstimmenarchiv, Museum für Naturkunde Berlin.
Apidae Bombus commonly known as the Bumblebee play a key role in the fertilisation of flowers from native and edible plants such as tomatoes, a broad range of berries, potatoes, apples, and pears, just to mention a few.
From global warming to pesticides and diseases, the populations of bumblebees are being threatened and therefore decreasing dramatically in the planet. This translates in a direct hazard to the diversity and survival of many ecosystems as well as the natural cycle of crop production.
HOW TO PLAY
Moving with the arrow keys, use your skills to help the bumblebee visit all the flowers on screen.
But WATCH OUT for pesticides that may come via different irrigation methods. Bee’s always take the shortest route and time is short in this game so make sure you find the quickest path to all the flowers.
