Planes follows five airplanes through history and across the skies of Berlin and Aleppo. Their journey leads to stories that tie the planes together with three generations of a family: A teenage apprentice in a factory, a hobby pilot landing on a historic airport, a young man who builds a new life in Berlin, and his girlfriend who hopes to visit his old home one day.
After several years abroad, Ina Schebler, originally from the South of Germany, now lives in Berlin. She takes photos, makes films, writes and studies Visual and Media Anthropology.
In # LibraryOfStories2017, 13 Berliners from various countries of origin (with and without refugee experience) tell stories about the topic "My Life in Berlin".
Over a period of one week, all participants produced their own 2-minute short film facilitated by Glocal Films glocalfilms.net. The films will be a constant part of the ZLB collection on the online platform "Berliner Großstadtgeschichten".
