This film shows the merging back and forth of Sigmund Freud’s antiquities to Jane McAdam Freud's sculpture, from past to present closing the gap of time in a “virtual” sense. Great similarities can be found in the forms and motifs of the pairs At a midway point the two objects merge to form a third “virtual” object, - the unknown. The film is accompanied by the background music of Kathleen Ferrier, a neighbour of Freud in the Golders Green Crematorium.The intended pause in the music is symbolises the break in Sigmund Freud’s only BBC broadcast. A bomb alert went off and he was rushed off unable to finish.
