Lars Brunström (SWE) Brunström works with installations and mobile sculptures of animals and nature. The sculptures move slowly, in their own indolent rhythm, providing a distorted representation. The motives, dreamed or real, strive to visualise the world around us via fables, and serve as a recollection, a visceral memory awoken in the dialogue between the work and the viewer. Iaspis is the Swedish Arts Grants Committee's international programme for Visual and Applied Artists; in the fields of visual art, architecture, design, fashion and crafts. The premises of the Iaspis residency programme in Stockholm is centrally located at Maria skolgata 83 on the, urban island of Södermalm in Stockholm, and comprises offices, studios, project room and a unique archive of artists who are currently working in Sweden.
