Yogi Berra once said, "You can observe a lot just by watching." In this brief exchange with a group of Indian men, the four of them cover a range of topics from race and religion to their high expectations for the World Cup. They began to reveal to us the complexity of racial issues in South Africa and how these have evolved over their lives. While these men may not have had the educational opportunities of other "first-class citizens", they show a deep understanding of their society and the wisdom to make sense of the world around them through their faith. Although their predictions of an imminent doomsday sound gloomy, they've seen enough to prepare them for anything.
