Tour website: madebythesea.net
'Made by the Sea' took place in Summer 2017 and reached over 550 people through screenings of local archive films followed by 'blethers' about the films, places and people on-screen with audiences across the tour:
"Great fun. Really good to see the old films on a big screen and with such a large and enthusiastic crowd."
"Very interesting to see what Ullapool was like in the old days - and to see what hadn't changed at all!"
"I really enjoyed the way it had been put together with the film selection, music and intros - all quite wonderful and varied."
Made by the Sea was produced and curated by Shona Thomson
Made by the Sea formed part of BFI Britain on Film, a major UK-wide project opening up unprecedented online access to our screen heritage. Britain on Film is supported by Unlocking Film Heritage awarding funds from The National Lottery: bfi.org.uk/britain-on-film.
