Two different quick tags for "Transformers" toy products created in the late 1980's by the same producer and production company team as the popular "Commodore 64" ad (vimeo.com/24576030) Marie Poe (formerly Marie Plagianos) and Peter Wallach Enterprises. As with Commodore the stop motion models were shot on 4x5 transparencies that were registered to animation cels and positioned to fit the rotoscoped live action of the boys. The tags were shot and composited in-camera on my Oxberry animation stand. The electricity and ray gun effects animation were created in the form of back-lit artwork as additional exposures on the film. The audio is not the original sound from the spots.
