PRESENTATION TITLE: “Operating Vehicles to Reduce Emissions and Save Money”
Alan became Chair of the Low Carbon Club in 2015. In this role, he works with 3ppp (Public-Private- Partnerships) to investigate the claims of some of the technology providers that look to us for endorsement. With well over 10 years of energy management experience, a Chartered Energy Manager and Certified Measurement and Verification Professional (CMVP®) with the UK Association of Energy Engineers; Alan specialises in assessing the claims of potential clients. When we are satisfied that technologies look potentially viable, we work together with our customers to establish live trials which we then meter, monitor and measure to prove real life benefits to other Low Carbon Club members.
Previously a local government environmental manager in Warwickshire, Bedfordshire and Buckinghamshire, Alan Asbury was named Sustainability Manager of the Year in 2012.
Alan is a Chartered Energy Manager and Director of CLS Energy Ltd. He works with large commercial and public sector clients to deliver energy, fuel and fleet savings through technologies and behaviours in the UK and Europe.
As an ESOS Lead Assessor he recommended savings for 20 companies exceeding £4.1m.
As Chair of the Low Carbon Club since 2015, he works with us to assess and test novel technologies in live environments.
He received Silver in the EST Fleet Hero Awards, 2015.
