In February 2017, 25 refugee men and women from South Sudan settling at Rhino Camp in Arua District, frustrated by the lack of schools and education for their children, took a bold step to start a primary school within their settlement. Within two weeks of erecting two makeshift structures made of UNHCR tarpaulins and some crooked poles, over 500 children flooded the space and Hope Primary School was born. I arrived this school in their 3rd week of existence and heard God say, "...start here..." Our ministry's strategy for bringing hope in this refugee settlement has its roots in this school.
