The Docufiction Film about Bosnian Artist “Nakkas Osman”; who lived in Payitaht Istanbul in 16th Century. This film was made with the financial contribution of the Republic of Turkey, Ministry of Culture and Tourism.
Nakkaş Osman who comes to palace from the Foça, district of Bosnia-Herzegovina on lands of the Rumelia, would have started to appear as an active artist after he joins to “Nakkaş House” in the late period of Suleyman the Magnificent. For Bosnia which would become district after Sultan Mehmet the Conqueror’s subjugating Bosnia-Herzegovina, Mehmet the Second write a decree himself which announces freedom of belief as he guarantees it. This attitude causes local residents to took kindly which would result up as converting to the religion of Islam which they feel close. Various talented kids who live in these regions brought up to capital went through a strict education to serve Ottoman Empire in various position as political competent, poets, artists. So Nakkaş Osman is one of them.
