on|off 100101010: Colliding and Surrendering: chaos and freedom where art and technologies meet

This symposium and exhibition in Singapore presented artworks curated in joint collaboration with Web3D Art Gallery, Queensland University of Technology (QUT) Brisbane, University New South Wales Art & Design (UNSW) Sydney, Nanyang Technological University (NTU) Singapore, Centre for Liberal Arts and Social Sciences (CLASS), School of Art, Design and Media (ADM), and NTU Art & Heritage Museum with Media Art Nexus NTU (MAN). Based around interdisciplinary and hybrid approaches to media art, the symposium examines artistic expressions from visualizations of microscopic plankton to the abstract poetics of a flight pattern database. The primary emphasis is on the process of fusing a variety of techniques including scientific imaging, digital animation, generative art and data-driven art.
