A hypnotic experiment produced by Kris Ariel -- all video and music by Kris, still images mine -- to put the word out about "Harvest Season", a "paradise lost" novel set in the southwestern mountains of China. Named as one of Tony Wheeler's top 10 most interesting books of 2010. Let's make this simple: it's a drug novel set in China, and somebody's going to wind up dead ... well two people -- at the book-end of the backpacker trail.
I was inspired to do this because I think almost everything written about travel today is vetted by people with money-making agendas. I'd like to make some money too, but not with photo-shopped prose and cliched destinations. Think the Top 10 things NOT to see and do.
