Producer/host Bonnie D. Graham (r.) and her mother and co-host, Ruth Dolgow, welcome collaborative divorce attorney Harriette M. Steinberg, Esq., who practices law on Long Island. She is a founding member of Collaborative Dispute Resolutions, an interdisciplinary group of attorneys, psychologists and financial specialists who help Long Island families reach non-adversarial, mutually agreeable solutions to their disputes.
Ms. Steinberg explains "grey divorce", an increasing phenomenon among baby boomer couples who decide to dissolve their marriages after 20, 30 or more years together. The most recent celebrity case of a "grey divorce" is former U.S. Vice President Al Gore and wife Tipper Gore, who split after 40 years of marriage.
She also discusses the intricacies of a "grey pre-nup", a pre-marriage agreement between boomers who marry or remarry later in life and need to protect assets intended for their own families.
