Form V students followed the Active Citizenship and Cultural Studies programme which encourages them to deconstruct moving images from film adaptations
of William Shapespeare's Macbeth and George Orwell's Animal Farm.
They are also encouraged to take part in co-constructing a short film which allows them to be creative with the classical text they study during their English literature classes.
This cross-curricular link has brought about some important educational connections.
This year's film adaptation has yet another special twist to it. It has linked themes, scenes, and magical moments from Macbeth and Animal Farm and it has created its own story.
Form V students have worked alongside Maltese professionals from the film industry to produce their interpretation of how these texts can work together. Students have been asked to think and propose "out-of-the-box" solutions
to the problems they have raised.
