Steven Salmon is a 42-year-old college graduate and twice published author who lives with cerebral palsy. His semi-autobiographies "Buddy Why" and "The Unusual Writer" tell the story of struggle and triumph through the unthinkable, where he must learn to endure against all odds.
If Governor Scott Walker's Budget passes, there is a chance that Steven could be institutionalized. His mother is in her 70s and has difficulty assisting him with day to day tasks. Steven is able to live and work in his own home with the help of home health aides, but cuts in funding may prevent him from having access to aides in the future.
What will become of the "Unusual Writer"?
