This video presents quick hack we did with mr.doob at CAN + OFFF 2011 Workshop Collaborative in Barcelona.
We are using desktop application build with Cinder to capture images from Kinect camera and write downscaled images to the hard drive. Then a WebGL application running in the browser access them through standard HTTP requests. We managed to get up to 10fps while working on two different computers connected through WiFi.
Several rendering styles are presented here. First one is just simple point cloud done by me for debugging while the rest was done by mr.doob using his amazing Three.js engine.
Additionally rotation of the scene can be controlled using iPhone gyroscope (iPhone -> OSC -> Ciner -> .txt file -> JS).
