Dean's Future Scholars Miguel, Alyssa, and Cuitley of the Dean's Future Scholars program, along with Guilherme Martins, Tod Colegrove, and Duncan Aldrich look on as DeLaMare and @One student worker Kalena Pelekai-Wai demonstrates progress he's made programming with the Kinect sensor. Modes implemented/demonstrated include: 1) identification/tracking of multiple individuals simultaneously (note different colored silhouettes displayed on laptop); 2) recognition/abstraction/representation of body parts associated with a selected recognized individual ("stick figure" of tracked individual); and 3) keying off a selected/recognized body part (Kalena's hand) for programmatic input (drawing a curve on the screen based on the location of Kalena's hand)
Credit for shooting/production of video clip belongs to student worker Alexandria "Alex" Roberts of @One/TLT.
